Presentation of the patriotic educational project "Avangard - My Trajectory"
The
educational project "Avangard - My Trajectory" was presented at the
RUSSIA EXPO. This is a patriotic and career-oriented shift in a children's
camp. The organizers are the Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" and
the Educational and Methodological Center for Military-Patriotic Education of
Youth "Avangard".
The program
"Avangard - My Trajectory" is implemented in "Orlyonok" for
the third time already. The thematic shift unites schoolchildren aged 13 to 16
from different regions of Russia. The kids get theoretical knowledge and
practical experience, and with them new opportunities.
"The
RUSSIA EXPO reveals the many facets of our country and the things we should be
proud of. And when people realize how diverse their Motherland is, what vast
territories surround them, what opportunities they have, I am sure that it
makes them very proud not only of their country, but also of their
opportunities," said Daria Borisova, Director of EMC "Avangard".
The new
knowledge will help the cadets in choosing their future profession, and
starting this year it will also become an excellent preparation for the course
"Basics of Security and Defence of the Motherland", which is planned
in secondary schools from September 1.
"It's
great when you understand how to administer first aid, light a fire, what you
can and cannot eat when in extreme conditions, how to build a shelter and so
on. I am a child of the 90s and we were not taught such skills," said
Daria Borisova.
During the
presentation of the project, schoolchildren took part in a song and dance flash
mob, a virtual trip to "Orlyonok", masterclasses and other
activities. But the main event was the competition for the priority right to
become a participant of the thematic shift in "Orlyonok" this summer.
Four winners were chosen from almost 40 participants who competed at thematic
game stations.
"We try to give children patriotic upbringing and education, but at the same time adapt them to different spheres of life, and all of this - taking into account their interests. And I've often noticed that at the end of the shift the kids become more disciplined and independent: for example, they learn the basics of making their bed, washing clothes, and so on. And many parents say: "Thank you very much, it's like you switched my child. I think that the main role is played by education in a team," said Maxim Voronin, the head of the "Avangard" shift.
The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8. Visitors are presented expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. More than 8 million people have already visited the Exposition.
