"Russian Spring. 10 Years Together": gratitude campaign was held at the RUSSIA EXPO
The
gratitude campaign "Russian Spring. 10 Years Together" dedicated to
the tenth anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia
was held at the RUSSIA EXPO. Delegations from the Republic of Crimea and
Sevastopol presented memorable gifts to representatives of other regions of
Russia as a way of thanking them for their support in the spring of 2014 and
over the past 10 years.
The
delegation of the Republic of Crimea presented each representative of a
constituent entity of Russia with a Crimean pine tree sapling as a symbol of
unbreakable and indestructible friendship. Crimean pine is an evergreen coniferous
tree, its life expectancy is 500-600 years.
"To
thank the representatives of all regions of Russia, we would like to present
them with a symbol that we are very proud of - a sapling of our Crimean pine
tree. Huge words of gratitude and a low bow from our entire Republic. Thank you
for supporting us both 10 years ago and now," said the Chairman of the
Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk.
Sevastopol
gifted representatives of other Russian regions with three-volume books for the
main libraries of each region as part of the Gratitude Campaign.
"As a gift we have selected books that are very important for us under the authorship of our Senator Ekaterina Altabayeva and the Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This is an edition about Sevastopol, containing little-studied facts. These three volumes reflect the history from the times of Chersonesos to 2014 with detailed accounts of those who participated in the "Russian Spring". It seems to us that everyone who is interested in the history of Sevastopol and our country will find much of interest in this publication. Also, on behalf of our governor we brought memorial letters to each head of the region," said Maria Litovko, Deputy Governor of Sevastopol.
