Northern Quantorium presented VR-technologies at the RUSSIA EXPO

The team of the Northern Children's Technopark Quantorium from Severodvinsk presented its educational projects at the International RUSSIA EXPO in Moscow.
At the stand of the Arkhangelsk region students Georgy Ivanov and Nikita Masharin together with their mentors Alyona Ivanova, Artyom Glotov and Ekaterina Kosheleva with the aid of virtual reality equipment helped visitors to the exposition to try on the roles of an offshore ice-resistant stationary oil production platform crane operator, a builder of a submarine and a contestant of the Russian Forestry Championship.
In addition, the guests were offered to assemble a map of the Arkhangelsk region with business cards of the districts, the Belgorod submarine and the Prirazlomnaya oil production platform from the informative puzzle pieces.
The immersive virtual world technologies attracted both children and adults, who learned a lot about the region.
The Northern Children's Technopark Quantorium was established in the shipbuilders' town thanks to the implementation of the national project "Education". The federal budget allocated 71.5 million rubles for its creation. Regional co-financing amounted to 1.4 million rubles.
