REC Export School held a business game for students at the RUSSIA EXPO

The Working at an International Exposition business game was held on December 16 in the VEB.RF pavilion Cities for Life Come True! at the venue of the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH.

As part of the business game, students were able to try their hand at being representatives of a Russian exporting company at an international exposition and their potential foreign buyers. Export teams represented Russian ice cream producers. The goal of the game was to convince potential partners (representatives from friendly countries of Turkey, UAE, China, India) to buy ice cream from their manufacturer.

More than 50 students from 7 universities took part in the game: RUDN University, Financial University, Higher School of Economics University, Russian Foreign Trade Academy, YarSU, Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

“Simulation of real export situations is a good school for students, which allows them to hone the skills necessary for successful work in foreign markets and simply for professional development in practical experience. This is not only useful and effective, it is, first of all, interesting, and the way our students lit up during the game confirms that we have chosen a very good training format,” said Alicia Nikitina, General Director of the REC Export School.

To immerse the participants in the cross-cultural specifics of interaction with foreign partners, before the start of the game, mini-lectures on country specifics were given by specialist in Russian-Turkish relations Ivan Starodubtsev, head of the Skolkovo Foundation representative office in the Republic of India Mikhail Gusev, representatives of the Russian Export Center Najibullo Jabbori, Lyubov Rtishcheva, Timur Vekilov and staff of the REC Export School.

The game participants also received gifts from the Moscow BRPI ice cream factory.
