Young Tour Guides School of Russia opens at the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region
The first intake of the Young Tour Guides School of Russia
will begin at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye on 27 September and will
run until December. The participants will learn the basics of the profession
under the guidance of experienced guides.
The project is designed for schoolchildren aged 12 to 17 and
is aimed at career guidance, helping them to acquire the knowledge and skills
necessary for excursion activities. Applications must be submitted by 23
September, followed by a selection process. The first classes will start on 27
September and continue until December. The second intake of the Young Tour
Guides School of Russia will start in February 2026.
One-hour lessons will take place on Saturdays at 15:00 at
the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region and at the regional Tourist
Information Centre. The course of the Young Tour Guides School of Russia
focuses on career guidance and developing children’s skills, knowledge and
abilities in excursion work.
The participants will attend:
— theoretical and practical classes on the basics of guiding;
— workshops led by experienced guides;
— training sessions on public speaking and stage speech;
— teamwork activities with peers;
— practical guiding of tours through the expositions of the
branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye.
The Young Tour Guides School of Russia is a project for
those who want to learn how to tell the story of their native region in an
inspiring, accurate and engaging way.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the students will
study the basics of stage speech, learn to work with information and design
engaging routes, and, most importantly, will have the chance to conduct a real
tour of the expositions of the Centre’s Primorye branch.

guidance, the promotion of local history and the guiding profession, including
guide-interpreters. Classes at the School are held with the support of the
Primorye branch of the Russian Geographical Society. The lectures cover
legislation on organising and conducting tours, their methodology and
techniques, innovations in guiding, and, of course, the history of the region
and the city of Vladivostok," said Daria Guseva, Head of the Excursion
Department of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region.
The project welcomes not only schoolchildren and students
but also industry experts, who will share information about interesting sites
of the city and the region.
Alongside medicine, considerable attention is paid to prevention: the development of sports infrastructure, cultural initiatives, and healthy leisure activities.
China’s representative Wang Xi will take part in the International Music Contest "Intervision". The artist will perform under number three, which, according to him, is his lucky number.
At the National Centre RUSSIA, the Governor of the Tula Region, Dmitry Milyaev, met with residents and experts as part of the series "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps".
