Wedding Festival participants took part in a canoe trip in Yugra

of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra Alexander Popov and Pyotr Zinchenko,
together with their beloved partners, Nadezhda Korepanova and Alyona Butorova,
are preparing for the big day. They will get married on 8 July at the III
All-Russian Wedding Festival "Uniting Hearts" in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Ahead of the event, the two couples took a canoe trip along the Irtysh River.
"At first, we were afraid of capsizing. We were worried and prepared
ourselves mentally. It is like an allegory for family life: if you paddle in
sync, you move forward. But if someone does something wrong, there will be no
progress. You have to listen to each other," Alexander and Nadezhda
shared.
The couples set off from the lighthouse at the grill park. The mighty Irtysh accompanied them throughout the route, while the water offered panoramic views of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra. After covering 5 kilometres, the couples finished at the Red Dragon Bridge. Following tradition, each couple made a secret wish as they passed beneath it. At the finish, the participants received a warm welcome from their colleagues at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"We are very happy that the weather was wonderful today, there were no waves and everything worked out. It was especially nice that our colleagues came to support us. Teamwork is important on the water: where you end up depends on how you keep your balance and paddle. It is very similar to a relationship. After the trip, we began to look at some things differently. We did it!" Pyotr and Alyona said.
The canoes used for the trip were made by Yugra craftsman Yuri Veselov. Handling such a boat is not easy: it requires coordination. If only one person paddles, the boat goes in circles. If two people paddle at different speeds, it veers off course. But when their rhythm matches, the canoe moves forward even in a storm.
The trip became a real test of mutual understanding: in an unstable boat, it is important to sense each other without words, trust one another and act in unison. These are precisely the qualities that form the foundation of a strong family. The journey along the Irtysh allowed each couple to see for themselves that they are a true team. Their wedding ceremony at the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra will become the starting point of their journey together.
