22.04.2024
The VEB.RF pavilion "Cities for Life Come True" hosted a lecture by the famous street art artist Sasha Tito. He spoke to the guests of the Exposition about the way street art changes the appearance of cities, helps to develop the urban environment and contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens.
In 2021, the Russian Government approved the Concept of Creative Industries Development until 2030. Creative industries include cinema, architecture, fine and theatrical arts, fashion, design, advertising and other areas. Street art can also be included there.
The expert told the guests that street art today is a full-fledged element of street space and urban life. Art goes beyond the walls of museums - it is integrated into everyday life and helps to establish a dialog between the city and its inhabitants.
Besides, the currently popular concept of "city for people" implies that the city should be not only safe and comfortable, but also aesthetically interesting. Street art transforms the cultural image of the city, creating new points of attraction and local sights. All this makes cities more attractive to live in.
Sasha Tito also talked to the visitors of the pavilion about his unusual creative path and the techniques in which he works. His works have been exhibited in all key exposition halls of Russia: in the Tretyakov Gallery, Manege, Central House of Artists, Gostiny Dvor. The artist has created works for major international and Russian brands, including Yandex and Sber. The guests were able to ask the expert all their questions and discover the fascinating world of street art.
