Technology and creativity: Nikita Pimenov invites you to the "Inventing the Future" Symposium
Artificial intelligence is developing at an incredible pace, having a major impact on the creative industries. Neural networks can now create entire series, from the initial idea to finished episodes. Television presenter and stage and screen actor Nikita Pimenov invites you to discuss what this means for creative professionals at the III International Symposium "Inventing the Future".
Nikita Pimenov will serve as an ambassador for the "Culture and Art" track at the International Symposium "Inventing the Future".
"Friends, very soon we will be discussing the future and how technological advances are affecting creative professions. This is particularly relevant because, just a few days ago, news broke that an actual series had been made using artificial intelligence. Not just the post-production, a small detail or some processing — no. The entire series, two 15-minute episodes about history, was made using artificial intelligence alone. So the future is already arriving and making its way into creative professions. There is plenty to discuss and reflect on," the television presenter said with conviction.
Participants in the track will explore the opportunities AI offers the industry and the risks associated with the widespread use of neural networks. Particular attention will be paid to formats for young people. The Symposium will feature interviews, visionary sessions, public talks, training sessions, a technology show, the II Museum Congress and an International Film Project Pitching event. Visitors will be able to attend the recording of a literary podcast about science fiction, watch a screening of the series "Hard to Be a God" and join a panel discussion on the future of the fashion industry, accompanied by a fashion show.
The Symposium includes the tracks "People and Values" and "Progress". A ceremony to present the All-Russian Science Fiction Literary Award will be a major cultural highlight of the Symposium.
The National Centre RUSSIA will present a new flagship project, the Gaming Lobby "Game Session of the Future", on 13 November as part of the III International Symposium "Inventing the Future". Visitors will be able to explore video games and digital services as an important cultural phenomenon and a strategic resource that brings people together.
The III International Symposium "Inventing the Future" will be held on 12–13 November at the National Centre RUSSIA. Organised on the instructions of President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the event will bring together more than 7,000 statespeople, scientists and researchers, heads of corporations and business alliances, representatives of the creative industries and public organisations, and young professionals from around the world. Leading experts will gather at this major international platform to jointly develop positive scenarios for the present and future, continuing the traditions of the I and II International Symposiums.
