VDNH guests will paint a Tomsk platband and send a note to Goodwin in the Emerald City on Tourism Day

On Saturday, February 3, the Tourism Day will be held at the RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH. Guests of the Tomsk stand will see a presentation of the region's tourism potential and a workshop on platband painting.

All day long the screens of the Tomsk exposition will show videos about Tomsk tourist routes, architecture, ecotourism and other things.

On the touch-panel guests of the stand will be able to view an interactive map of the Tomsk region and choose tourist "shticks" of interest: locations, hotels, cafes. By selecting a certain point on the map, the guest will see information and photos of the object, and for some of them - a 3D panorama.

Also, guests of VDNH will receive a check-list bookmark "10 reasons to visit the Tomsk region", attend a virtual tour from the fire tower on Voskresenskaya Mountain in Tomsk, learn fascinating facts about the Tomsk region from traveler Evgeny Kovalevsky, take part in a workshop on origami and make their own emerald heart.

In addition, visitors to the Tomsk stand will be able to leave a note with their wish to the wizard Goodwin, which will then go to the Emerald City. In addition, the stand will host a masterclass on painting the platband of the Emerald House - the mansion of architect Khomich. The guests will be able to take the painted wooden mini-platbands with them as a souvenir and use them as a magnet.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is being held at VDNH in Moscow. The Tomsk stand is presented under the slogan "Emerald Heart of Siberia" and is decorated in the spirit of Alexander Volkov's fairy tale "The Wizard of Emerald City". It is divided into zones of Mind, Heart and Courage and presents the region's potential in science, education, technology, tourism, as well as the architectural uniqueness of ancient Tomsk.
