Trade representatives from countries in Asia, North and South America, Africa and Europe convened in Moscow for the Trade Representatives Week.
A significant part of the first day's agenda consisted of B2G meetings, where entrepreneurs had the opportunity to personally meet and engage with trade representatives to discuss further steps in preparing export projects.
Additionally, a briefing on "New Trends and Promising Directions for the Development of Russian Foreign Trade" was organized for the trade envoys. The event placed considerable emphasis on priority sectors of Russia's non-raw materials, non-energy exports and enhancing the efficiency of business collaboration with trade representatives. Speakers included Alexei Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; Dmitry Zverev, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation; Roman Genkel, Vice President of the “Russian Export Centre” JSC; Konstantin Kim, Director of the ANO “Centre for Foreign Trade” at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and others.
Leading Russian companies such as Segezha Group, Sitronics Group, Ozon and AVTOVAZ also presented their prospective projects to the trade envoys, laying groundwork for active promotion in foreign markets.
Another highlight of the program was masterclasses for Moscow exporters conducted by trade representatives, where participants were briefed on the intricacies of entering markets in Asian and African countries.
On the second day, July 3, trade envoys will hold meetings with students from universities (MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Saint Petersburg State University, Institute of Asian and African Studies at Moscow State University, Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and Russian Academy of Foreign Trade), as well as with the business community. They will also visit various pavilions at VDNH, including regional expositions at the RUSSIA EXPO.
