At the National Centre RUSSIA, an open dialogue "Focus on Chukotka" will take place
On November
26 from 18:30 to 20:00, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the open dialogue"Focus on Chukotka," organized by the project "Not in
Class." Admission is free.
Guests will
get a closer look at the nature and culture of Chukotka and learn how modern
scientific approaches help preserve its unique ecosystems.
The central
event of the evening will be the premiere of a short film dedicated to the role
of science in protecting Arctic territories. After the screening, there will be
an interactive quiz where participants can test their knowledge of Chukotka and
compete for valuable prizes.
A special
part of the evening will feature live stories from members of a scientific
expedition. They will share experiences of life on an uninhabited island,
impressions of sea voyages, encounters with wildlife, meetings with
schoolchildren and Indigenous people, and much more. Attendees will have the
opportunity to personally interact with those who have been there and ask their
most pressing questions.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA EXPO
and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a permanent
basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations, and regions
take part in the Centre’s work.
During the all-Russian survey "What does the Motherland begin with?", people across the country are answering this question in their own way, opening up the innermost corners of their souls.
Souvenir nevalyashkas (traditional Russian roly-poly dolls), are attracting particular attention, with guests choosing them for their harmonious combination of Russian colour and traditional Chinese symbols.
Under the guidance of artisans, each guest made an unusual souvenir that can become either a personal talisman or a gift with a special story.
