Maxim Lagashkin, theatre, cinema, and television actor, producer, and lecturer for the Russian society Znanie, delivered a lecture titled "Rules of the Game: How to Stay True to Yourself in the Acting Profession" for the residents of Krasnoyarsk. The event took place on 15 December as part of the opening of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Krasnoyarsk region.

"I believe that all centres are beneficial because people gather there. And when people gather together – that is always wonderful, it always means new acquaintances, new opportunities, an energy boost, and so on. Therefore, any centre in any city is always important and needed," Maxim Lagashkin shared his impressions of the new venue in Krasnoyarsk.

The actor spoke to the audience about the most important aspects of a creative path: how to find inner strength having an unstable profession, and where to find the courage to take risks – just as he once did, leaving Samara to conquer GITIS (Russian Institute of Theatre Arts): "This experience taught me the main thing: in an actor's world, it is precisely the inner core, the belief in one's path that helps overcome doubts and move forward, even when there are no guarantees."

Maxim Lagashkin also shared his thoughts on competition among the actors, fears, and moments of losing oneself. He shared the secret of how to preserve uniqueness, avoid clichés, and find authenticity in each role, drawing on personal experience.

"Acting is not the ability to hide, but the courage to discover new worlds within yourself. To remain yourself means not to be afraid to give your role the sincerest part of you. Only then does someone else's story become the truth," he said.

Concluding the meeting, Maxim Lagashkin offered advice to those who are just choosing the acting path today, including those taking their first steps in the profession.

"Read, go to museums, watch films, study psychology, history, and music. Your inner world is your main tool. The richer it is, the more interesting you are as an artist."
