The interaction between nature and modern humans: a mysterious installation at the "Legacy for the Future" exposition
Today,
February 2, marks the final day of the "Legacy for the Future"
exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA. Among the works, the installation
"Fantastic Beasts" stands out impressively. Its creators — talented
artists from China, Hu Yuemin, Lin Yuxin, and Ji Huanhuayany — invite viewers
to reflect on the interaction between nature and technology.
From a
distance, the piece resembles rock crystal, a stalactite, or an intricate
designer vase. Only upon closer inspection does one discover a world of fantasy
and ancient legends, depicted through visual representations of mythical
creatures frozen forever within the installation.
This
artwork raises important questions about humanity's relationship with nature in
the digital age. The creators seek to demonstrate how the spread of artificial
intelligence deepens the divide between humans and the natural world.
"In
the era of technological progress, we often lose our connection with nature,
forget our roots, become less sensitive to the environment, and less perceptive
of the problems of those around us. Through the lens of mythology, the creators
of this work provide a space for reflection on how we can restore this lost
connection and how crucial it is to preserve nature in the age of advanced
technology. It is a truly remarkable installation — one could examine its
details endlessly," noted Vladimir Nechayev, a guest of the National
Centre RUSSIA from Lobnya, Moscow region.
Other works
presented at the exposition by young artists from six countries also encourage
visitors to reflect on environmental issues and take part in a large-scale
dialogue between culture, nature, and technology. Don't miss the opportunity to
see these incredible works of art in person.
We remind
you that the second floor of the National Centre RUSSIA will be temporarily unavailable to visitors due to an exposition change. However, cultural,
educational, and business programs will continue. All up-to-date information on
event dates and locations can be found on the website in the "Events"
section. Starting in February, the "Hall of Inventions" and
"Legacy for the Future" expositions will conclude their run. After
installation and updates, two new expositions — one on architecture and another
titled "Journey Across Russia" — will open at the National Centre in
March.
A panel discussion "Integration of the Special Military Operation Heroes into Civilian Life" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the 3rd All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland — the Strength of Russia".
Among its key events were the signing of major agreements, the Twin Cities Forum, and the festival of cultures "Heart of the Motherland", dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
Guests not only observed the process but also asked the craftswomen about the meanings and the everyday life of the Khanty and Mansi peoples.
