"Knowledge has meaning only when it serves a cause": the large-scale Znanie.State Forum was held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On January
24, on Civil Servant Day, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the large-scale
Znanie.State Forum for the first time. Around four thousand employees of
federal and regional authorities participated in meetings with renowned
lecturers, public speaking workshops, and tours of the exposition halls. The
Forum was aimed at enhancing the prestige and significance of civil servants in
society.
The Forum
was opened by Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian society Znanie. In
his welcoming speech he congratulated participants on their professional
holiday and thanked them for their work.
"The
responsibilities of a civil servant are immense: they determine how our country
meets today’s challenges, how the younger generation is shaped, and what the
future of Russia will be. The Russian society Znanie strives to be an ally and
partner in addressing these critical tasks, and that’s why we launched the
Znanie.State project. This project aims to ensure high awareness, develop
competencies, and unify around a common goal. We have established close
cooperation with nearly 70 agencies and become partners for millions across the
country. However, I believe this is just the beginning and first steps of our
joint work. In 2025, we aim to expand the project and strengthen work at the
municipal level," said Maxim Dreval.
The key
topics of the Znanie.State Forum included issues of state policy, governance
and patriotism, combating the falsification of history, as well as civil and
military heroism during the Special Military Operation, cultural, historical,
and spiritual values of Russia.
The guests
of the lectures and interviews included heads of ministries and state
companies, Heroes of Russia, representatives of science, culture, and media.
Among them were: Vladimir Medinsky, Aide to the President of the Russian
Federation; Irina Yarovaya, Deputy Chairperson of the State Duma of the Russian
Federation; Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department,
Official Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Alexei
Likhachev, Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom;

A separate
part of the Forum consisted of intensive sessions and master classes where

communicate effectively, and received valuable advice on working with citizens.
Speakers included Mikhail Khomich, Chief Strategist at VEB.RF, Yevgeny
Minchenko, President of the Russian Public Relations Association, Nina Zvereva,
founder of an online communications school, and other experts.
As part of the Znanie.State Forum program, nearly 60 tours were organized for government officials through the exposition halls of the National Centre RUSSIA, which opened to visitors in November 2024. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to visit the Znanie.Library stand, where over 1,200 books from Russian classics were raffled.
The forum's
partner was the All-Russian program "GosStart," organized by
Rosmolodezh, which supports young government and municipal officials.
Let us remind you that the Znanie.State Forum is a large-scale educational project by the Russian society Znanie for state and municipal employees, enabling them to gain deeper insights into the history, culture, economy, and geopolitics of Russia. The project has been implemented since 2022, featuring lectures and federal broadcasts from multimedia studios of the Russian society Znanie. Over the past two years, more than 30,000 lectures have been conducted under the Znanie.State initiative across all regions of Russia, with an audience of over 3.5 million people.
The National Centre RUSSIA will host a series of presentations titled "Journey Across Russia's Gastronomic Festivals."
The National Centre RUSSIA today meets the needs of various professional communities for communication and exchange of experience.
