Watercolor sunsets. Zabaykalsky region
The concept of the flowerbed "Watercolor Sunsets of
Transbaikalia" is a unique installation inspired by the beauty and diversity of
nature of the Zabaykalsky region.
The composition is based on the image of mountain ranges surrounded by flowers, which are typical for this region. The unique species of plants that are represented in this flowerbed are vulnerable and require special protection and attention. Meanwhile, the mountains symbolize majesty, power and majestic natural symbol of eternity, superiority, permanence, purity, harmony, aspiration and spiritual uplift. Creation of such projects helps to draw attention to environmental problems and motivates to take care of nature for future generations.
In the composition are used veronica spicata (spiked
speedwell), common heather, Carpathian bellflower (campanula), meadow turf,
Morrow's sedge, ornamental onion, hybrid lavender.
Altai onion (Allium altaicum), a relative of which is
presented in the composition, is a perennial herbaceous plant of the lily
family. It is a rare species, included in the Red Book of the Chita region and
Aginsky Buryat autonomous district. Its stem is strong and hollow. Bulbs are
large, leaves are also hollow. Umbels are globular, multiflowered, leaves are
yellowish-white, shiny. It has medicinal properties and is used in folk
medicine.
