Stone flower. Sverdlovsk region
The floral
exposition of the Sverdlovsk region reflects the incredible richness of the
Ural land. The concept refers to the famous fairy tale "The Stone
Flower" by Bazhov, dedicated to the search for perfection.
Plants with
beautiful, rich foliage in purple, crimson-red, and emerald hues symbolize the
underground treasures of the Urals: malachite, rhodonite, jade, and other
minerals. The emphasis is placed on the color combination of the foliage.
The
composition is symmetrical. In the center, there are three mountain pines and
large decorative stones, mountain crystal, and decorative stone chips of
various fractions. A lizard with a crown made of a malachite box, which is
located in the center of the composition and completes the image, is another
continuation of the associative series with Bazhov's fairy tales.
Flowering
plants in the flower bed are low-growing, ground-covering, reflecting the flora
of the Ural forests. Coniferous cultures elegantly complement the exposition
and remind of the vast forest expanses. Plants characteristic of the Sverdlovsk
region are also used: fir, lingonberry, bearberry, and junipers.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
