Karjala. Republic of Karelia
The exposition "Karjala" aims to create a vivid
image of a pristine land located in the northwest part of Russia within a small
area. The virgin forests, picturesque rocky coastline, and diverse local flora
are all reflected in the exposition composition that aims at drawing attention
to the natural wealth of Karjala.
Karjala is a land of coniferous forests, cliffs, rivers, and
lakes. Ladoga and Onega, rivers, streams, swamps, waterfalls, and numerous
forests create a unique, amazing, and incomparable landscape of this region. It
attracts pilgrims who, once acquainted with it, return again and again.
The beauty of the northern nature leaves no one indifferent;
here, a person feels a part of this grand, powerful landscape. This pristine
energy and the power of the earth, water, stones, rocks, and ancient trees
connect them with the Creator. The majestic and solemn music of gray stones,
ancient forests, and deep waters is magnificent. The nature here seems as if it
has been preserved since the creation of the world it is pristine. There are
few such places left. And while they still exist, they must be visited and
cherished in one's heart.
The geoplastic solution, plants, and materials used in the
composition reproduce the natural landscape of protected areas, where one can
be alone with nature and, having visited once, forever fall in love with this
land.
