Cultural Capital 2024. Nizhny Novgorod region
The exposition alludes to the symbols of the cultural
heritage of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Each one is carefully chosen: in 2024,
Nizhny Novgorod holds the title of Cultural Capital of the Year.
The exposition features pack-houses located at the confluence
of two great rivers, the Oka and the Volga, the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, and
lines from the works of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin.
At the core of the concept is the synthesis of a rich legacy
of traditions and an aspiration towards the future. The project's symbols
include:
The Center for Contemporary Culture "Pack-houses"
— preserving the legacy of great projects and giving new life to objects.
The Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin — a majestic medieval fortress,
one of the best-preserved in Russia.
The great Russian rivers Oka and Volga — improving the urban
environment and making our embankments beautiful and accessible to residents
and guests of the city, actively developing river transport, and revitalizing
our rivers.
Lines from the poems of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin
— reverently honoring the legacy, especially in the year celebrating the 225th
anniversary of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin's birth.
The deer — a symbol of Nizhny Novgorod.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
