Orenburg region: we will make you fall in love with the steppe
The Orenburg region is a land of natural contrasts: of vast steppes' exotic colours; of unexpected rocky and karst landscapes; of island oases with pine, oak and birch forests. The exhibition composition shows visitors a recreated endless steppe, bordered by the foothills of the Urals and fertile fields.
The
Orenburg region display project is based on three main ideas:
The border
of Europe and Asia — a central object of this idea is a bridge over the Ural
River. Visually it divides the composition into two parts, and is accompanied
by two steles — "Europe' and 'Asia".
The natural
diversity of the region is emphasized by the art object "Long Mountains". It is
sown with feather grass, sage, sedum, hen-and-chicken and anthemis. The "Field
of Young Wheat" zone is sown with lawn grass; the "Steppe" zone is made of
feather grass, sage, elymus, and the Ural River zone — blue and beige stone
chips and gray fescue.
And the
development of alternative energy is the third idea. Due to the sun and wind,
the Orenburg region is the first one in the country regarding production of
alternative energy. In the exhibition they are symbolized by the art objects
"Wind Power Plant" and "Solar Power Plant".
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
