Proton radiation therapy. Ulyanovsk region
The
Ulyanovsk region is known for its UAZ automobiles and the largest aircraft
manufacturing plant in the country. However, few know that the region is home
to the largest proton therapy center for medical radiology and oncology in
Europe, and the first in Russia. This center employs all existing methods of
diagnosis and therapy in the field of nuclear medicine, providing complex
assistance to cancer patients.
The
region's floral composition showcases the equipment that combats disease using
proton beams without harming the surrounding healthy tissues. At the very
center of the exposition is an installation representing body tissues, made
from synthetic glass. Nearby, affected areas of the body are depicted using
natural black zlatolite stone, and the proton beam is represented by a bundle
of fishing line.
The
composition is surrounded by bright flowers symbolizing the human body
recovering after illness, affirming that nuclear medicine can save lives and
preserve health even in the most challenging situations.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
