Concentration of the Elements. Krasnodar Region
Kuban is the warmest region in Russia, situated at the junction of plains and mountains, and includes the coastlines of the Azov and Black Seas. It boasts unique natural and climatic conditions, a rich history, and numerous natural, archaeological, and historical attractions.
The sculpture depicts the Fisht-Oshten Mountain Range in the western part
of the Main Caucasus Range. A mirror symbolizes the seas and numerous
rivers of the Krasnodar region.
Physocarpus represents the endless fiery fields of sunflower and wheat.
Coniferous plants symbolize the dense forests of the region. The grapevine is a
symbol of the excellent wines of Kuban. Garden strawberries represent the
wealth of berry crops in the region. Petunias and roses embody the beauty and
eternal lush flowering of the region's nature.
The "Fisht" rocky juniper used in the composition was bred in the
"Gavrish" plant nursery in Crimea, the Krasnodar region, and named
after one of the mountain peaks of the Main Caucasus Range as well as the 2014
Winter Olympics in Sochi. It is a columnar plant with dense gray-blue
needles and a sparser, lighter upper part. In 2017, it was included in the
State Register of Breeding Achievements.
Along with the RUSSIA EXPO, the flower festival is also coming to an end.
The "Future in Flowers" festival continues at the RUSSIA EXPO, where unique flowerbeds from all regions of our country can be seen at the "Space" pavilion until July 8.
The RUSSIA EXPO concludes on July 8, and with it, the flower festival will also come to an end.
