Tyumen region
The idea of creating a flower exposition of the Tyumen region was born from thinking over the main symbol of the region — the coat of
arms. Its elements represent hopes for prosperity of people, and the value of
their talents combined with the abundance of natural resources.
One of the unique cultural phenomena of the region — carpet
weaving — is now preserved as a historical heritage. The semantics of ornaments
and basic coloristic solutions of the Tyumen carpet reflect the values inherent
in the region.
The floral arrangement uses elements of the Tyumen region’s
coat of arms. There, a sun and a crown are symbols of harmony; arrows and
cereals are symbols of prosperity and moving ahead. The color palette of the
exhibition was taken from the colorful Tyumen carpet. Thus, a black colour
gives the image of fertile land, wood, peat, fresh and mineral waters; a golden
colour presents an image of fields, meadows and pine forests; green and white —
the image of cities and a region rich in forests, as well as modern
technologies; red — the image of orchards. Red is also a color of beauty. By
combining the shape and color of plants, a figurative map of the Tyumen region
with rivers, forests, fields, cities and gardens was obtained.
The exhibition uses natural flowing forms symbolizing
harmony. There are also grains that represent prosperity and striving forward.
Light floating structures with images of a carpet go as a symbol of continuity
and respect for history.
