Pacification. Kalmykia
The composition symbolizes the future of Kalmykia, based on
respect for traditions and spiritual values, where the development of culture
and harmony in society becomes a priority. The arch represents the Universe,
the smaller arch symbolizes individuality, depicting their connection and the
succession of generations. The stream symbolizes the fleeting nature of time
and the connection between generations.
Two mirrored pagodas of different sizes are used in the
composition. One represents the individual, while the other represents the
Universe. And in this concept, the individual is always under the protection of
the Universe, the people, the lineage. Mirrored pagodas symbolize the unity of
all peoples, reflecting everything that surrounds us. The mirror serves as a
symbol of the Universe. On the pagodas, there are "Wind Music"
(golden metal bells).
Along the main walkway, there are flagpoles with ribbons,
serving as a reminder of tradition: tying a ribbon sends a wish into the
Universe, carried by the wind. A mirrored stream runs through the entire
flowerbed, symbolizing the fleeting nature of time.
The composition features tulips, wormwood, sagebrush,
feather grass, and other plants from the steppe region. For the Kalmyks,
wormwood is a symbol of their land. Even when they briefly leave, they take it
with them to remember the scent of their homeland. According to various
estimates, there are between 18 to 24 species of wormwood found in Kalmykia. In
addition to its valuable nutritional qualities, wormwood has many beneficial
properties for humans and is widely used in both modern and traditional
medicine.
