"I felt like I was in a fairy tale": Timur from Khanty-Mansiysk, whose wish was fulfilled by the President, visited the National Centre RUSSIA
Five-year-old Timur from Khanty-Mansiysk, who dreamed of becoming a traffic police officer, visited the National Centre RUSSIA. The young guest explored the expositions "Journey Across Russia" and "Book of Fairy Tales". Timur’s wish was fulfilled by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, as part of the nationwide charitable campaign "New Year Tree of Wishes".
"Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with Timur, a participant in the charitable campaign 'New Year Tree of Wishes'. The President fulfilled the child’s New Year wish — to try himself in the role of a traffic police officer. To make his dream come true, five-year-old Timur travelled from Khanty-Mansiysk to Moscow together with his mother, Anastasia. The boy visited the building of the Main Directorate for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, explored the Traffic Police Museum, took a ride in a patrol car through the streets of Moscow, and learned about the work of traffic police inspectors," the Kremlin’s official Telegram channel reported.
On 19 December, Timur visited the National Centre RUSSIA. An individual guided tour of the expositions "Journey Across Russia" and "Book of Fairy Tales" was organised for him.
"I really liked the 'Book of Fairy Tales' exposition. I visited a magical nest, and I liked the snowmen and the sledges. Baba Yaga left the strongest impression — I was a little scared of her. I was interested to learn about fairy tales from different regions. I liked them very much," Timur said.
Timur also visited the Space of Opportunities zone. He was given a guided tour of the office of the Movement of the First, where he met the Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First and Hero of the Russian Federation, Artur Orlov. The schoolboy received branded merchandise of the Movement as a gift. A visit to the Moscow Zoo has also been scheduled for him.
Timur shared his impressions of having his dream fulfilled: "Yesterday really stood out for me. I spoke with the President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich. We talked about the New Year and Moscow. Yesterday I was a traffic police officer, and we rode in a police car. I liked it very much."
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, picked Timur’s wish card from the New Year tree at the National Centre RUSSIA on 3 December. The International Prize #WEARETOGETHER was held there, during which the head of state took part in the nationwide charitable campaign "New Year Tree of Wishes".
