Snegurochka, tsar fish and Eskimo ball — bright symbols of the regions at the "Future in Flowers" festival
The flower festival continues at the International RUSSIA
EXPO. Each participant presented its unique flowerbed-exposition, where besides
beautiful flowers and plants one can see unexpected heroes and unusual symbols
that help to better recognize the peculiarities of the regions.
CHUKOTKA AUTONOMOUS AREA
A bright symbol of the flower exposition of Chukotka is the
Eskimo ball, which personifies the sun for indigenous peoples. But at the same
time, it represents the achievements of the nuclear industry in ensuring the
country's technological sovereignty and developing technologies for the
district. In this way, the Eskimo ball emphasizes the connection between past
and present, tradition and progress.
KRASNOYARSK REGION
2024 is the year of the 100th anniversary of the birth of
Viktor Petrovich Astafyev, who lived and created his works in the Krasnoyarsk
region. The flower arrangement "Tsar Fish" is dedicated to his work.
The eponymous story of the writer is a philosophical discourse about human
greed on the one hand, and an important reminder that resources are not
infinite, and nature should be treated with care and respect on the other.
The sturgeon symbolizes the strength of spirit of Siberians,
because it is a powerful fish that can rip the nets and break free. The figure
of the sturgeon is made of reflective material so that everyone could see
themselves in the "mirror", because everything we do comes back to
us.
KOSTROMA REGION
To see the beautiful Snegurochka (or Snow Maiden) in summer?
It is quite possible at the festival of flowers. After all, it is her that
Kostroma region has chosen as its key symbol, Snegurochka is one of the main

Volga: it is symbolically represented by blue gentian flowers. The main plant
