Events digest: highlights of the week at the National Centre RUSSIA
The visit of Vladimir Putin to the branch of the National
Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region, the opening of the exposition
"Region-2030. Platform of the Future", an expert session of the Open
Dialogue, the launch of a series of meetings with heads of Russian regions and
other notable events — in our selection of the week’s highlights at the
National Centre RUSSIA.
Vladimir Putin toured the expositions of the first branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited
the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region. The Head of
State toured the expositions dedicated to the history of the Far Eastern
region, its achievements, and promising development plans.
The Primorye branch of the National Centre RUSSIA is
designed in a marine style and divided into themed zones: "Career in the
Primorye region", "Science and Education", "Sport and
Culture", "Tourism, Comfortable Environment and Innovation". The
new space on Vladivostok’s Sportivnaya Embankment was presented to the Head of
State by Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Our first branch is about the history, achievements,
and bright future of Primorye. Together with the team of the Primorye region,
we managed not just to create a modern building. A cosy urban space is being
created around the branch, which we hope will become a focal point for
residents and visitors of Vladivostok. It is a place where people can dream,
create, feel pride for their country and their small homeland and, of course,
shape the future of Russia — so rich, beautiful and strong," said Natalia
Virtuozova.
The first exposition examined by President Vladimir Putin
was "The Path of the 155th Separate Marine Brigade in the Special Military
Operation". It was presented by Guards Leading Seaman of the 155th Marine
Brigade Leon Volodin. He stressed that the heroism shown by the servicemen of
the 155th Brigade and many other units during the Special Military Operation
must not be forgotten. Their experience will become a foundation for young
generations of Russians, helping them to find true reference points and choose
the right path in life.
"The Primorye region became the first region where, by
decision of the President, the National Centre RUSSIA was established. In a
landmark building for Vladivostok on the city’s main embankment — the
Sportivnaya Harbour — modern high-tech expositions are presented that reflect
the spirit and character of the region, telling of its past, present and
future. During the reconstruction of the building we preserved part of the
aquariums and their inhabitants. But the main value of the exposition — in the
Year of Great Victory we gave central place to the Special Military Operation
and its heroes," noted Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorye region.
Vladimir Putin was also presented with the exposition
"Unique Russian Language", created on his instructions. The author of
the initiative is Liliana Voronova, Head of the Department of Russian as a
Foreign Language and Director of the Regional Testing Centre for the Russian
Language, who personally told the Head of State about the content, objectives
and opportunities of the location.
At the end of the visit, Natalia Virtuozova and Oleg
Kozhemyako invited Vladimir Putin to leave a message for the residents of the
Primorye region on the wall of the first branch. The Head of State agreed and
placed his signature next to the stand "Master Plans of the Cities of the
Primorye region" on the wall under his own quote: "The Russian Far
East will definitely be successful, just as the people living here see it and
strive for it." All visitors to the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
in the Primorye region will be able to see Vladimir Putin’s signature.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was
presented with the exposition "Unique Russian Language", created on
his instructions, at the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye
region. The initiative was proposed by Liliana Voronova, Head of the Department
of Russian as a Foreign Language and Director of the Regional Testing Centre
for the Russian Language.
"I am very grateful to you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, for
supporting this initiative. My dream, and I believe the dream of many Russian
scholars, has come true. It is especially gratifying that the first such space
appeared here in Vladivostok. What makes this especially valuable is how
quickly the idea was implemented," said Liliana Voronova.
According to her, with the establishment of the new
exposition, children, residents and tourists of the region studying Russian
have the opportunity to test their knowledge in a playful way, to discover
forgotten or unexpected linguistic phenomena, and to learn interesting facts
and records of the Russian language.
"I always tell both Russian and foreign students that
the Russian language is a means of national identity of the Russian people. It
is not just a system of signs and rules, but a living legacy that reflects the
history, culture, mentality and spirit of the people," emphasised Liliana
Voronova.
The President was offered a task — to place stress in words
correctly. It turned out to be a challenge: the meaning depended on the stress.
First, Vladimir Putin tried to complete it himself, and then invited pupils of
the Voin centre to join in and test their knowledge.
The children engaged with the interactive panels:
translating youth slang into literary Russian and solving old words. Together
with the President, girls from the Voin centre correctly placed the stress in
the words "graffiti" and "catalogue".
On 5 June this year, a meeting of the Council on the
Implementation of State Policy in the Field of Support for the Russian Language
and the Languages of the Peoples of Russia was held. Following its results, the
President approved a list of instructions. Among them was an instruction to
create, on the basis of the National Centre RUSSIA (including its branches in
certain regions of the Russian Federation), cultural and educational
interactive spaces for the popularisation and promotion of the Russian language.
The new exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the
Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA presents strategic projects and
development prospects of the country’s regions, as well as advanced
developments and innovative products of Russian export companies.
The opening was attended by Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy
Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia and Chair of the
Organising Committee of the National Centre RUSSIA; Veronika Nikishina,
Director General of the Russian Export Centre JSC; Alexander Gusev, Governor of
the Voronezh Region; and Irina Gekht, Acting Governor of the Nenets Autonomous
Area. The expositions have been open to visitors since 2 September.
The first seven regions presented at the exposition are the
Republic of Dagestan, the Amur region, the Voronezh region, the Chelyabinsk
region, the Tula region, the Jewish Autonomous Region and the Nenets Autonomous
Area. Each of them has prepared a stand combining modern multimedia
technologies with authentic historical artefacts.
"This task was set by President of Russia Vladimir
Vladimirovich Putin: to give each region the opportunity not only to tell about
its history and its present day, but also to show the direction of future
development. In every region of our country there is something its residents
are rightfully proud of, something that can amaze, impress and inspire. And it
is especially important to share this with the entire country," said
Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive
Office of Russia and Chair of the Organising Committee of the National Centre
RUSSIA.
As part of the opening of the exposition "Region-2030.
Platform of the Future" at the National Centre RUSSIA, the exposition of
export potential was also launched.
"The exposition ‘Made in Russia’ is not just a
demonstration of the products of our exporters. Here visitors can gain an idea
of how modern technologies are organically intertwined with authentic national
culture. We are creating a space where everyone can see how innovation and
tradition work together, shaping the image of modern Russia as a
technologically advanced country with a rich cultural legacy," said
Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the Russian Export Centre JSC, in her
speech.
Alexander Gusev, Governor of the Voronezh Region, in turn
thanked the organisers of the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the
Future" for the opportunity to present the regions, their achievements and
projects: "This exposition gives us the chance to prove that the regions
of the Russian Federation are oriented towards the future, believe in a great
Russia and sincerely love their Motherland."
Deciding that a region would present itself for an entire
week was not an easy task, admitted Irina Gekht, Acting Governor of the Nenets
Autonomous Area. At the same time, she is confident that this is a way to show
the great potential concentrated in Russia’s regions.
"It is serious work to put together, implement and
present such a programme. It is very important that our children see it: what
culture, what traditions, what opportunities exist in every region, and of
course in the Nenets Autonomous Area. I am confident that the exposition
‘Region-2030. Platform of the Future’ is truly a look into the future, since it
will be seen by thousands of people from all over the country," said Irina
Gekht.
The key elements of the exposition "Region-2030.
Platform of the Future" are interactive zones where visitors can take a
virtual tour of cities, learn about major achievements and the professions of
the future, try themselves as engineers, athletes or robotics specialists, swim
across a virtual river and even launch a rocket from a cosmodrome.
The exposition will also host themed weeks of each of the
participating regions. Visitors can look forward to presentations, workshops,
performances by creative groups and gastronomic shows. The exposition has been
open to visitors since 2 September. Admission is free with prior registration
on the website russia.ru.
The first regional branch of the National Centre RUSSIA opened in the Primorye region
On 7 September, a festive programme dedicated to the opening
of the first branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, located in the Primorye
region, took place in Vladivostok. The new space was created by Order of the
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Governor of the Primorye region Oleg Kozhemyako took part in
the opening ceremony on the Sportivnaya Embankment.
"This is truly a centre of attraction for residents of
our region and our guests, which will allow them to learn about landmarks,
projects and achievements of the region, as well as to see how we are shaping the
future of our cities and Vladivostok as an agglomeration. This is especially
important for children: here they will be able to study the Russian language,
take part in programmes, and find their life path," said the head of the
region.
He stressed that the opening of the branch would be only the
first step in the development of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Far East. In
the near future, a congress hall and new spaces for young people will appear
here, while the venue itself will expand, gain modern infrastructure and
delight the residents of Vladivostok.
During the ceremony, Oleg Kozhemyako presented Natalia
Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, with the Primorye
region Medal "For Special Contribution to the Development of the Primorye
region", 1st degree. Employees of the branch of the National Centre who
took part in its creation were also awarded.
"Primorye is a unique region. It is Russia’s gateway to
Asia, a place where traditions and cultures meet, where friendship with neighbours
is part of daily life. We are confident that the branch will become a new place
of strength, a cultural focal point, a space where ideas are born and everyone
feels pride for Russia and a sense of belonging to its future. That is why the
Ussuri tiger — proud, majestic and recognised all over the world — was chosen
as the symbol of the branch," said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of
the National Centre RUSSIA.
Konstantin Shestakov, Mayor of Vladivostok, also extended his congratulations on the opening of the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA: "I congratulate Vladivostok residents on the opening of the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in our city. I want to emphasise that the first branch of the National Centre opened here in Vladivostok. This happened thanks to the efforts of a large team of the Primorye region. I thank everyone who contributed to the opening of the branch."
The festive programme began with a performance by the youth
band TES’LA and a large flag procession along the renovated Sportivnaya
Embankment. Residents of Vladivostok joined the "The Beautiful
Faraway" dance flashmob, first held at the International RUSSIA EXPO in
Moscow. The first thousand guests received kokoshniks from the Patriotka brand,
handmade in a modern style, while the most active participants were given
souvenirs and branded gifts.
The stage featured leading artists and ensembles of
Primorye. In connection with the Year of Great Victory, a special place in the
festive programme was given to commemorative events. The audience saw a
literary and musical composition with the participation of Great Patriotic War
veteran Lidia Ivanovna Negoda and a participant of the Special Military
Operation from the Primorye region, Sergei Uvarov. The culmination of the evening
was a performance by the well-known Russian singer Eva Polna.
An expert session of Open Dialogue on the theme
"Investments in Connectivity", organised by the National Centre
RUSSIA, took place on 5 September at the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
in the Primorye region.
Experts from different countries of the world joined the
discussion on the topic "Transformation of Trade and Connectivity in the
New Reality". The session was a continuation of the Open Dialogue
"The Future of the World. New Platform of Global Growth", which was
held at the National Centre RUSSIA in April 2025.
Starting the discussion, the moderator of the Open Dialogue
session, Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive
Office of Russia, noted that BRICS countries and the Global South now play the
leading role in new solutions in world trade. According to the Deputy Chief of
Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia, this new megatrend is
stable and irreversible. Institutions of the old architecture are becoming
irrelevant.
"We really already have everything — both the new
realities of the global economy and the technologies for a new architecture of
world trade to emerge. It is not replacing old institutions and old trade
routes; it complements them. This is a very important point, because just a few
days ago we returned from China, where a landmark SCO summit was held. The key
tone of that event, in fact the only one, was the tone of positive
development," emphasised Maxim Oreshkin.
The massive sanctions imposed on Russia have stimulated
innovation and the development of such an important quality as antifragility,
said Rakhim Oshakbayev, Chief Economist of the TALAP Centre for Applied
Research.
"The results are clear and impressive not only to
external observers but even to Russian economists, showing how the Russian
economy, thanks to a combination of economic policy, public governance, and
private initiatives, has managed to demonstrate such resilience," said
Rakhim Oshakbayev.
Jian Lian, founder of Beijing Hengce Investment Consulting
Co. (China), highlighted another significant trend — the transition to national
currencies.
"There are huge human resources and labour markets. In
China we plan to attract workers from Ethiopia. Together with Russia, we are
now trying to implement this project, building on China’s advances in
technology. It is crucial that all our payments are in roubles. This is very
important, because until now the US dollar has been the main reserve currency
in Ethiopia. A shift to national currencies is now under way. That is why we
are creating new conditions to improve economic efficiency, and we are doing it
by peaceful means," said Jian Lian.
According to Pyotr Ivanov, Director General for Logistics of
the State Corporation Rosatom and Director General of Far Eastern Shipping
Company PJSC, the fleet plays one of the leading roles in connectivity.
"Today, when we talk about the development of
international trade and ensuring connectivity, we recall the words of Peter the
Great: 'Whoever has a fleet has two hands.' We felt this when many
international companies and alliances that control 80% of international trade
left Russia, and freight rates rose tenfold, hitting connectivity and
international trade. That is why the focus on a national fleet is the
foundation of stability in international trade. And those countries that make
this a priority will always be able to secure export and import communications.
We are also moving along this path now," noted Pyotr Ivanov.
The first Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New
Platform of Global Growth", aimed at creating a discussion platform for
considering the future of the world economy, took place at the National Centre
RUSSIA in Moscow from 28 to 30 April. Open Dialogue received almost 700 essays
from 102 countries. The authors included representatives of academia, business,
state bodies, and youth and expert communities. More than 100 guests from 48
countries representing all continents took part in the in-person programme in
Moscow. They included world-class experts as well as essay authors.
Open Dialogue continued at the St Petersburg International
Economic Forum. On 18 June, the session "Shaping a New Platform of Global
Growth", organised by the National Centre RUSSIA, was held. The moderator
of the session, Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive
Office of Russia, outlined the main challenges and priorities of the countries
of the world majority, which are becoming the architecture of the new global
order. As part of the session, the Report on the results of Open Dialogue,
prepared by the partner of the National Centre RUSSIA — the Centre for
Cross-Sectoral Expertise "Third Rome" — was also presented.
At the request of essayists and experts, the Organising
Committee decided to hold Open Dialogue annually.
On 4 September, the National Centre RUSSIA launched the
cycle of meetings with the heads of constituent entities of the Russian
Federation "Platform of the Future: Region-2030. 100 Steps". These
events are held as part of the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the
Future" and are aimed at discussing priority measures and strategic
projects that will shape the country by 2030.
The first guest was Head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergei
Melikov. In the format of an open dialogue with the public, he spoke in detail
about the strategic vision for the region’s development in the near future,
touching on key areas — from the economy to personnel policy. The central theme
of the meeting was the image of Dagestan in 2030.
"Above all, I want to see Dagestan stable. This is a
republic where the quality of life of people will improve significantly and at
least reach the levels that other constituent entities of Russia are justly
proud of. And of course, we always want to see Dagestan peaceful, as it has
historically been — a land of hospitable and friendly people," said Sergei
Melikov.
The head of the region stressed that the character of the
people of Dagestan has always been shaped by the mountainous terrain, which
requires hard work, resilience and strength of spirit. He also reminded of the
republic’s crucial historical role as a crossroads of trade routes, emphasising
that today this potential is being realised through large-scale projects — from
the North–South international transport corridor to the modernisation of the
Makhachkala seaport, which has shown record cargo turnover over the past twenty
years.
Special attention was paid by Melikov to issues directly
affecting people’s lives: the modernisation of water supply systems, the
development of the energy sector, and the support of agricultural production —
the traditional backbone of Dagestan’s economy. Tourism was named a promising
area: the number of tourists has already exceeded 1.8 million per year, and it
is planned to surpass 2 million in the near future.
Speaking about human resources policy, the head of the
region noted that the key principles here should remain competence, honesty and
dedication. He also expressed special gratitude to the people of Dagestan, who
have always defended the Motherland. "A vivid testimony of their courage
is the 15 Gold Stars and the titles of Heroes of the Russian Federation awarded
to our servicemen," emphasised Sergei Melikov.
"Dagestan is a remarkable territory, one might say a
small model of the entire Russian Federation, where numerous nationalities and
religions are represented in harmony, as well as almost all the natural
landscapes of our vast country," summed up the head of the region,
expressing confidence in the future prosperity and well-being of Dagestan and
Russia.
On 3 September, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the talk
show "Creative Dagestan" as part of the Days of the Republic of
Dagestan within the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future".
Participants discussed tourism as a showcase of creative industries, the balance
between cultural codes and economic efficiency, the plans of regional brands
for the near future and other issues that help to understand the specifics and
prospects of developing the creative economy of Dagestan, the Caucasus and the
whole of Russia.
The meeting was organised by the Ministry of Tourism and
Folk Arts and Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan and the Agency for
Entrepreneurship and Investment of the Republic of Dagestan with the support of
ANO "Creative Economy" and the National Centre RUSSIA. The moderator was
Nelly Badalyan, Deputy Director General for Communications of ANO
"Creative Economy".
Hadzhimurat Israpilov, Head of the Agency for
Entrepreneurship and Investment of the Republic of Dagestan, emphasised the
strategic role of the creative sector and its close interconnection with
tourism in the regions. According to him, creative industries are already
shaping the tourist flow to Dagestan today and tomorrow will become the
foundation of the new economy.
Filmmakers Binke Anisimov, Ibragim Magomedov and Yevgeny
Mishiev, creators of the film "Atel-Matel", announced ambitious plans
that emerged after a meeting with the Head of the Republic of Dagestan: a
large-scale film base will appear in the region, and an annual family film
festival will also be held. Binke Anisimov is convinced that this will attract
more tourists to the region.
Co-founder of the Measure brand Gadzhi Guseinov noted that
the main goal for increasing the recognition of local producers is the
development of both individual brands and the entire ecosystem of regional
production.
Murad Gadzhiyakhyayev, Director of the Kubachi Art Plant, shared his experience in preserving the legacy of the residents of the village of Kubachi. The theme of the uniqueness and relevance of traditions and folk crafts was continued by image stylist and founder of the Ettiko jewellery brand Eteri Dalieva, and by sisters Aisha and Madina Arshayev, founders of the Arshayevs brand. Islam Isayev, Development Director of the eco-tourism complex Glavryba, spoke about how to attract tourists through gastronomy.
At the end of the event, federal experts present, including
Georgy Rostovshchikov, founder and Director General of Fashion Hub Russia and
President of the International Association of Buyers International Buyer Hub, highlighted
the uniqueness of Dagestan’s identity, as well as the importance of scaling up,
which will make regional brands’ products more accessible without losing
quality.
On 2 September, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted an open
day of the Institute of Public Catering of the V. M. Gorbatov Federal Research
Centre for Food Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the frozen ingredients
producer YUZH Group of Companies — "Food Constructor. New Solutions for
the Public Catering Market" — as part of the exposition "Region-2030.
Platform of the Future".
The event began with an expert discussion involving
technologists, quality and food safety experts, chefs and business
representatives. They discussed how modern freezing affects quality and taste
characteristics, how the composition of ingredients for dishes is changing, and
what advantages the use of frozen semi-finished products brings.
"The exposition 'Region-2030. Platform of the Future',
which opened today at the National Centre RUSSIA, shows how regions are
designing the country’s tomorrow in the economy, culture and, of course,
gastronomy. Today’s event is a vivid example of how science, business and
creativity come together for a common goal — improving the quality and culture
of food. The work of the Institute of Public Catering strongly resonates with
our projects. In the Gastronomic Rows of the Centre, guests discover the cuisine
of Russian regions — from Caucasian spices to Far Eastern delicacies,"
emphasised Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA.
According to her, the exposition "Journey Across
Russia" clearly demonstrates that every territory has its own unique taste
and traditions — from northern fish to southern fruit. It is from this
diversity that the food culture of the future is born.
"Today, new technologies and modern approaches are
being discussed here. We are confident that it is precisely such solutions that
form the food culture of the new generation and become part of the image of
Russia’s future," said Anastasia Zvyagina.
Oksana Kuznetsova, Director of the V. M. Gorbatov Federal
Research Centre for Food Systems, noted that the Centre covers the entire food
industry not only within public catering, but also in industrial production.
"Safety requirements for different raw materials and
products vary, and sometimes they are unique for certain categories. Our
institute accumulates all competencies and, I believe, successfully transmits
them to the ready-made food community. Today’s discussion was useful for
industry professionals," she said.
The event was attended by heads of catering enterprises,
technologists, quality and food safety specialists, brand chefs, as well as
representatives of purchasing and supply departments.
A thematic Youth Day of the Republic of Dagestan took place
on 6 September at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the exposition
"Region-2030. Platform of the Future". The event brought together
Dagestani students studying at Moscow universities and experts in youth policy.
A key part of the programme was the presentation of
opportunities that Moscow offers to young people from the regions.
Representatives of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of
Moscow spoke about grant competitions and forums of the Rosmolodezh line available
to Dagestani students. Deputy Chairman of the Committee Pavel Simakov gave
examples of support, referring to the results of a survey on the priorities of
the younger generation.
"According to the survey on development trajectories,
51% of young people chose creativity, 50% — a healthy lifestyle, 44% — new
knowledge, and 18% — meetings and networking. The capital supports young people
in many different ways," said Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Public
Relations and Youth Policy of Moscow, Pavel Simakov.
As examples of Moscow’s successful youth support experience,
he highlighted several key initiatives. Among them was the "Youth of
Moscow" nomination in the Mayor’s grant competition for socially oriented
NGOs: last year, 154 projects won, receiving a total of 157.2 million roubles.
He also mentioned the "Moscow Innovator" award, which in 2024
supported 36 high-tech projects and start-ups, as well as the annual Mayor’s
grant competition in culture and arts, where 3.8 million roubles in funding is
distributed among one hundred projects. In addition, he referred to the Moscow
Government Prize: 50 laureates receive 2 million roubles each.
Special attention was given to patriotic education. Guests
were introduced to the exhibition of the "Living Pencil" project,
where artists depict athletes and participants of the Special Military
Operation in a comic book style.
As part of the day, a presentation of the North Caucasus
Youth Educational Forum "Caspian 2025" also took place. This
large-scale forum is traditionally held in August in Makhachkala on the Caspian
Sea coast.
"The Caspian Forum has traditionally been held in the
republic since 2011. This event brings together the most active young people
not only from Dagestan and the North Caucasus, but from across the country.
Each year we welcome about 500 participants from more than 70 regions of Russia
and abroad. Last year, according to the Rosmolodezh rating, it was recognised
as the event of the year among district-level projects. This forum is the main
youth event of the republic. The themes change every year: in 2024 it was
dedicated to volunteering, this year to patriotism, as we mark the 80th
anniversary of Victory, and 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of
the Fatherland," said Kamil Saidov, Minister for Youth Affairs of the
Republic of Dagestan.
The gastronomic workshop "Traditions of Dagestani
Cuisine" was held on 5 September at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of
the Week of the Republic of Dagestan at the exposition "Region-2030.
Platform of the Future". Guests not only learned how to cook traditional
dishes of the region — corn khinkal, chudu, dried apricot porridge and urbech —
but also had the chance to taste them.
The hosts and honorary guests of the event spoke about the
history of Dagestan’s cuisine, shared the secrets of preparing national dishes,
answered participants’ questions and even performed a fiery lezginka dance at
the end of the tastings.
Kamil Saidov, Minister of Youth of the Republic of Dagestan,
noted that each people of the region has its own culinary traditions, so moving
from one district to another can become a large-scale gastronomic journey
within a single republic.
"I am delighted to showcase Dagestani cuisine at the
National Centre RUSSIA. Our republic is home to many nationalities, and each
brings its own distinctive dishes — that is our real treasure. In the south the
flavours are one way, in the north another, and in the mountains meat holds a
special place. I am sure every guest will find something to their taste. And
anyone who has never tried our raf coffee with urbech cannot call themselves a
true coffee lover — this drink alone has made many people fall in love with
Dagestan. Our gastronomy is as much our calling card as our mountains and our
sea," said Kamil Saidov.
Participants of the workshop learned about the fillings for
chudu, which type of khinkal is most diet-friendly, which ancient rituals are
associated with dried apricot porridge, and why kefir for dough must always be
at room temperature. Guests discovered the main tourist attractions of the
region and even had the chance to win delicious prizes in a quiz on knowledge
of Dagestan. Chef Fatima Ibragimova shared the secret of the special appeal of
the republic’s national dishes.
"We use only the best and freshest products, because
highlanders have always been engaged in cattle breeding, so we always have
fresh butter, sour cream, cottage cheese, cheese and meat. And of course, the
republic is very rich in fruits and vegetables. But the most important
ingredient is a little pinch of love. People in Dagestan have always cooked
with soul. With a big soul. That is why the food turns out so tasty and
heartfelt," confessed Fatima Ibragimova.
Open educational programme of the II International Symposium "Inventing the Future" was published
The first topics of the open educational programme of the II
International Symposium "Inventing the Future", which will take place
on 7–8 October 2025 in Moscow at the National Centre RUSSIA, have been
announced. The new discussion space will enable everyone to contribute to
shaping the future. Participants will be able to discover the best innovations,
join debates and voting sessions, and meet scientists, artists and futurists
from different countries. Registration for the open educational programme began
on 3 September at future.russia.ru.
The annual Symposium, organised at the instruction of
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin under the aegis of the
Decade of Science and Technology in our country, will bring together more than
7,000 representatives from SCO and BRICS countries, the Asia-Pacific region and
Europe to develop positive scenarios for the future.
Government officials, scientists and researchers,
representatives of the technology sector, futurists, forecasters and
representatives of the creative industries will take part in exchanging
experience and developing positive scenarios for the future. The outcome of the
Symposium events will be futuristic forecasts that can be tracked, discussed
and adjusted.
Every Monday at the National Centre RUSSIA is traditionally devoted to maintenance work, and therefore the venue is closed to visitors on these days.
The National Centre RUSSIA summed up the results of the first themed week of the project "Days of the Regions" within the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future".
